The work package 3 consists in the acquisition and the processing of
satellite data (altimeter, SST and winds fields).
As part of the MFS Pilot Project
(MFSPP) a near real time system of altimetry and SST was implemented. For
MFSTEP, the work mainly consists in the improvement of the altimeter and
SST system and in the extension of the system to the satellite winds data.
The main objectives are :
