The main aim is to create
a software application for the visualisation and the exportation
of MFSTEP analyses and forecast data. With this software
each partner could have a unique tool to plot results from
the
project avoiding misunderstandings caused by using different
software. At the same time, the final goal of this application
is to become a useful tool to marine management people and
end-users.
This release
of UVT (v.1.0) plots horizontal maps, vertical
profiles and time series both for scalar and vector variables.
UVT visualizes model data from OGCM and regional models.
The graphic interface was revised to be user-friendlier and
the quality of vector plotting improved. A user guide, that
describes the main characteristics of UVT is available,
from Download section. This will allow having new information
about the forecast and reaching a greater number of marine
users.
This
tool
will allow then the promotion of the MFSTEP products toward
non-scientific users will be achieved through pamphlet
that will be produced according to users information needs. |
